HERE'S THE STORY

This oil painting was made from a beautiful photograph courtesy of Ahmed Al Harthy, owner of MuscArt. He offered his work-space for classes and private lessons with Saud Al Hunaini. In fact, Saud chose the photo for me to paint. Talk about a teacher having confidence! It was tough but I love how this small village tucked in a valley of the Hajar mountains came out. It sits high enough for the weather to be cooler than the desert areas at sea level. Hence the beautiful green, terraced fields. Plus there is a great backdrop of mountains. Oman is truly a geologist’s dream.
